I’ve been on a self-discovery and healing journey for most of my life. It started with acquiring an autoimmune disease in high school which lead to dark years of confusion, avoidance of the issue, and eventually feelings of overall sickness and depression. Western doctors prescribed steroids, blood thinners, and pain killers to target the *symptoms* I was experiencing and with no positive improvement, I starting seeking alternative healing methods to heal the core of the issue.
Yoga was introduced to my life at age 15 when my mom took me to my first, sweat-dripping, no-music, boring-for-a-teenager, ashtanga yoga experience. Since then, I have explored many different styles, techniques, and lineages of yoga and movement. From traditional teachings in Rishikesh, India to learning more modern style movement modalities in my home town of Scottsdale, Arizona, my goal as a yoga teacher is to blend the traditional spiritual practices of yoga, with movements and physical practices that are healing for the body, mind, and soul.
My mission as a teacher, facilitator, and a human is to help as many people as possible to heal from the inside out. Every person on this planet has a trauma, a stress, or possibly an underlying health condition that has a root cause and can be healed. Through movement, breath-work, and meditation healing starts to happen from the inside out.
